Start with the edges, unless you've already spotted a red poinsettia you need to put together immediately.

Christmas roses, evergreen sprigs, and bright flowers fill this 252-piece garden. Spread it out when everyone has finished eating and see who wanders over. Someone will insist they're only helping for a minute. Someone else will quietly take over all the greenery. You can have a very good evening together without ever deciding what to do.

There's a tin to keep it in when you're finished. Until then, tea within reach, a little room at the table, and absolutely no shame in keeping the box picture right beside you.
